    Re: Start++ & Windows 7

    hhoppe:

    I'm running Start++ 0.8.2.1 under Windows 7, and all seems to work well,

    except that every time I type a command in the Start box, there is a beep afterward.

    This occurs whether the command is a Start++ shortcut or not.  (For instance, Start + "Windows Explorer" launches Explorer, but beeps.)

    If I have the Start++ program exit, the beep goes away.

    Does anyone else see (hear) this?  Or any ideas what could be wrong?  Thanks.

    Definitely beeping here every time I enter a command in the Start menu Searchbar.

    I am getting the same behavior - when start++ is running, I get an audible ding when I run anything from the search (e.g. "notepad.exe", "www.google.com", "Microsoft Word").  When I disable start++, it stops dinging.

    Setting the start++ application to run as administrator on the compatibility tab seems to fix this..can some of you others having this problem confirm?

     Brandon, keep up the good work - just donated $20 to your cause to show my appreciation!

    Thanks guys!  I'm repro'ing the beep as well.  I'll try to look into that soon.

    The sudo / UAC focus issue has been around a while and is a really tricky one.  I'll look at that too, but it may take longer to nail 100%.

    Brandon: any thoughts on updates for Win7 and for x64?
