Mosquito, I have a startlet similar to Phil's, but I use the following arguments-> /v:%1 That will allow you to specify a machine name if you know it, if not you'll see the standard Remote Desktop Client UI so you can browse for a machine to connect to.

Btw, I recently uploaded a Remote Desktop startlet that will make use of multiple monitors on the connecting machine. It also allows for an optional machine name (per the /:v switch mentioned in my previous comment). Get the startlet here: http://brandontools.com/files/folders/sharedcommands/entry71.aspx

On my Vista Home Premium (32 bit) this startlet always insisted on connecting to a server named "$1". I changed the argument from "/v:$1" to "/v:%1" and that fixed it so the parameter I pass works correctly. e.g. rd MyServer now connects to MyServer rather than $1. Hope this helps.
